Kandi Coated Thoughts on Tumblr
I don't feel like moving all of my poetry back over to this blog, so you can find it on my tumbler. Along with other poetry I've collected
I Lied.
I want for nothing I said, but I lied.
I want to feel love, and hear laughter, and feel electricity at the hand of another.
I want for nothing I said, but I lied.
I want to be heard, understood.
I want for nothing I said, but I lied.

Sucked Dry
Sucking me dry.
Lashing out with your tongue; taking me down layer by layer.
Eager to reach the hidden prize inside.
Impatiently you bite through.
In the middle is not what you expected.
Corrosion.
In the middle is not what you expected.
Corrosion.
Ugliness.
You leave me exposed.
Shattered and sticky.
The unpleasantness of my insides hanging out.
Shattered and sticky.
The unpleasantness of my insides hanging out.
My sweetness.
Flavor.
My tough exterior gone forever.
Flavor.
My tough exterior gone forever.
I am ruined.

To young to understand.
I was too young to understand my sexuality,
my beating heart racing home, it's sitting next to you on the bus.
I know that I wanted you, your tall stature your long legs, black hair so soft.
I wanted to beg you for a kiss but I shied away not knowing what to do.
Hiding my feelings, you make me feel like a woman but I was just a little girl.

Underneath The Willow Tree
Underneath The
Willow Tree
Underneath the willow tree are
secrets I can't tell,
And if the crickets rat me out, they'll send
me,
Straight to hell.
You really should have thought it
through before you tried to tell. You knew from the beginning that
my mind was not that well.
I warned you once and warned you
twice right before I snapped.
And all that I can say right now, is
I hope you like your nap.

Old Love, New Love
The first piece of true writing I've done in a awhile
Old Love, New Love
you laid across the floor in the darkness of your living room, naked, silent, longing. The room whispered her name gently as my mind quietly held onto thoughts of him.
My presence broke the silence, it felt wrong but my objections came too late. Your cold fingers undressed me; pulling me close, inviting yourself in.
Your flowers, wine and 3 hour conversations, clashed with his lies, betrayal, and broken hearts.
I knew my choice as the words rose from the bottom of my throat, I screamed No!, I can't with such passion that being pushed away seemed confusing. I awkwardly gathered my clothes, avoiding your eyes as I slipped into them and walked out the door.

Lost Entry.
I found this today in the back of a college notebook, that had not be opened for years.
When he left she felt as though she had died inside.
One last kiss and a quick goodbye.
She knew as she boarded the plane that her life would never be the same.
She convinced herself she could go on like before, but each day her emptiness grew.
Every touch from a man brings back her pain.
The paranoia sets in and gets worse everyday.
You can feed her all the pills in the world, but they can't fill the hole that continues to grow.

I came across this today.
From one of my favorite Authors of all time!
Excerpt –
'This famous wicked little tale
Should never have been put on sale
It is a mystery to me
Why loving parents cannot see
That this is actually a book
About a brazen little crook...'
'...Now just imagine how you'd feel
If you had cooked a lovely meal,
Delicious porridge, steaming hot,
Fresh coffee in the coffee pot,
With maybe toast and marmalade,
The table beautifully laid,
One place for you and one for dad,
Another for your little lad.
Then dad cries, 'Golly–gosh! Gee whizz!
'Oh cripes! How hot this porridge is!
'Let's take a walk along the street
'Until it's cool enough to eat.'
He adds, 'An early morning stroll
'Is good for people on the whole.
'It makes your appetite improve
'It also helps your bowels move.'
No proper wife would dare to question
Such a sensible suggestion,
Above all not at breakfast–time
When men are seldom at their prime.
No sooner are you down the road
Than Goldilocks, that little toad
That nosey thieving little louse,
Comes sneaking in your empty house....'
'...(Here comes the next catastrophe.)
Most educated people choose
To rid themselves of socks and shoes
Before they clamber into bed.
But Goldie didn't give a shred.
Her filthy shoes were thick with grime,
And mud and mush and slush and slime.
Worse still, upon the heel of one
Was something that a dog had done.
I say once more, what would you think
If all this horrid dirt and stink
Was smeared upon your eiderdown
By this revolting little clown?
(The famous story has no clues
To show the girl removed her shoes.)
Oh, what a tale of crime on crime!
Let's check it for a second time.
Crime One, the prosecution's case:
She breaks and enters someone's place.
Crime Two, the prosecutor notes:
She steals a bowl of porridge oats.
Crime Three: She breaks a precious chair
Belonging to the Baby Bear.
Crime Four: She smears each spotless sheet
With filthy messes from her feet.
A judge would say without a blink,
'Ten years hard labour in the clink!'
But in the book, as you will see,
The little beast gets off scot–free,
While tiny children near and far
Shout 'Goody–good! Hooray! Hurrah!'
'Poor darling Goldilocks!' they say,
'Thank goodness that she got away!'
Myself, I think I'd rather send
Young Goldie to a sticky end.
'Oh daddy!' cried the Baby Bear,
'My porridge gone! It isn't fair!'
'Then go upstairs,' the Big Bear said,
'Your porridge is upon the bed.
'But as it's inside mademoiselle,
'You'll have to eat her up as well.'

Came Across A Delightful Poem......
“Last night I had a revelation
Somehow I have to make you pay
It's all about manipulation
And what it takes to get my way
I don't believe in soft solutions
No one makes a fool of me
Without receiving retribution
No one hurts me and goes free
I'll play on your fears, I'll leave you in tears
You'll never be the same, my friend
You're walking a line, it's a matter of time
You'll never rest easy again
I've got the power to bring you down
I've heard it said, to err is human
It's forgiveness that's divine
I thought about forgiving you, but
I want revenge, I want what's mine
I think it's time to settle scores now
It's time to set the record straight
You'll know it's coming, you won't know how
Or when, you'll have to watch and wait
I'll play on your fears, I'll leave you in tears
You'll never be the same, my friend
You're walking a line, it's a matter of time
You'll never rest easy again
I've got the power to bring you down
You know, it feels intoxicating
To be intimidating
It's invigorating
To see you shaking
I've got the power to bring you down
You know something, you see it coming,
You know I will stop at nothing.”
Somehow I have to make you pay
It's all about manipulation
And what it takes to get my way
I don't believe in soft solutions
No one makes a fool of me
Without receiving retribution
No one hurts me and goes free
I'll play on your fears, I'll leave you in tears

A new piece of poetry
Your lips linger on the curve of my side.
A sweet remembrance of last night.
The warmth I felt as I layd by your side, stays with me when I'm alone.
When the emptiness turns to cold.
Our love for eachother on temporary hold.
Our griendship grows.
You turn to me when you need someone most.
And I reach for you, comforting you.
Everything surrounding wrong suspends when I'm in your arms.
If only we could make those moments last.
Turning back the past,
erasing all the stumbles in the path. Lookinf for forgiveness, relief, learning to let go
yearning to breathe.
Slowly walking forward, hoping we meet again on a bed of red roses devoid of thorns.
Until then I'll keep your whispers, and your memories,
the scent of your skin. The softness of your bottom lip.
The lingering of your kiss on the curve of my side.
The memor of warmth filly my bed.
Until the day, we meet again.

Today was the day. I counted down to this day as though my world was ending, but here I sit and I'm still alive, I'm still breathin...
